One of the cold hard truths I learned when I quit the engineering job and started setting my own schedule was this:
You can’t get anything done on the days when DH is home.
This post was originally going to be poignant, touching and funny. Everything you always wanted in a knitting blog post.
Alas, due to the machinations of big business, my original vision has been forced to change a bit.
More specifically, it’s about "Sock Wars", where the idea is that everyone playing the game is an "assassin" and has an assigned "target". You are supposed to "assassinate" that person by knitting them a pair of socks, and then you send them to your target before your assassin sends a pair of finished socks to you.
I can trace my original fascination with knitting back to age 6. That’s when my big sister, Bets, came for her very last Christmas visit home – because she was engaged, and would be married in April. (Bets and I are at either end of a large family – there are 17 years between us).

If you infringe this copyright notice, you may not get caught, but you will definitely acquire bad knitting karma: your gauge swatches will never come out right, and you will never find good yarn on sale.
You have been warned.
