A couple of weeks ago, I insisted on performed my annual act of knitting "celebrity": being a judge for the Knitting Bee's "Naked Bears" clothing competition. Hey, not only do I get my 15 minutes of fame — I also get to have some fun hanging out with knitters and a couple of free glasses of wine, as well as chocolate truffles. What could be easier?

OK, while they aren’t exactly my favorite POLAR BEARS… there are some Malayan Sun Bears on the other side of the globe that need some help. Knitted help, in fact.
