Registration starts for the THPRD summer term and the Summer Sweater Knit-Along. If you sign up for it here, I’ll email a reminder a few days before registration starts.

  • Summer Sweater Design & Knit-Along -- Garden Home Rec Center

    Jun 25 2010, 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM

luna tee finishedAre you a confident knitter, who has always wanted to make or design a sweater, but…?
In this 9-session class, knitters will swatch, design, measure, calculate and knit a basic one-piece style sweater, with minimal finishing required. Use any yarn you choose (a gauge of 4 sts or fewer per inch is suggested, to ensure keeping up with the class). We will use Barbara Walker’s top-down method to make a pullover with set-in sleeves, a choice of necklines, and an emphasis on ways to achieve a custom fit.
    Class meets Fridays from 1:30 – 3:30, June 25 – August 27, 2010. No class July 2.
Registration for the THPRD summer term starts April 17th.
Here’s an example of the style of sweater we’ll be making!
ETA: Note that the “summer” part refers to the time of the class, not the style of sweater. You may make the snuggliest, warmest green MOHAIR sweater imaginable, if you wish. (You might even be in excellent company.)
