OK, that Patricia is one smart cookie.  And she actually has some real-life experience and knowledge about styling, and how things ought to look.

So I took her advice on the whole "new look for the blog" thing. I have gone back to the "old" template, because it worked fine and did what I wanted it to do.  But, I’ve tweaked the appearance to be fresher, and I still am hopeful it will be more readable.

Not to say that I don’t have more tweaking to do — I am aware that a few of the old text colors look like complete crap on the new backgrounds – but it will happen in bits and pieces from here on out.  Things may change color, or you might see a different font, but I think I am done with the "new" thing now.

This whole experience has felt exactly like when you are sick and tired of having the same haircut for years, even though it works fine and looks great, and works with your hair type, etc etc.  So you get this wild idea to try something "new" and "exciting"!!  Sometimes it turns out fabulous, and sometimes it doesn’t…

Anyway, I think for the moment that I am cured.  Back to our regularly scheduled programming.  And if I get a crazy idea like this again, remind me that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
