Come join us and beat the winter blahs! Registration details are below. (Not interested in this class? Let me know why in the poll at the bottom of the post!)
The holidays are over and the midwinter gloom is starting to set in, yes? OK, I know the days are theoretically getting longer again, but then again they were getting pretty damned short, after all.
People often say that here in the Northwest it's the rain that gets people down in the winter, but I really think it's the short days that do it for me. Today the sun is even shining, but it is also on the verge of setting, and it's only mid-afternoon!
So, one way to beat the winter blahs is to get out and about and make some new friends. Need I suggest that knitters make rather nice friends?
And the winter term of the group knitting class is about to start — next week in fact — at Garden Home Rec Center. You can learn to knit from the ground up, or you can bring any project you're working on, and get guidance if and when you need it. You also can enjoy a couple of hours of "me" time socializing with other knitters. In fact, I've told people I don't even care if you actually knit, as long as you enjoy yourself for a couple of hours.
And while I'm at it, I should mention that I'm thinking about making some changes to this class for the Fall term. If you have some interest, but this class doesn't work for you for some reason, please take a minute to tell me why — at the bottom of the post is a poll. Also, feel free to add any pertinent details in the comments. Thanks!

I live out of district, so the class costs closer to $200 .
