It’s already time to sign up for the SPRING SESSIONS of the Garden Home Rec Center group knitting classes!
Boy, that winter term went by quickly — it was a little on the short side because we got a late start, due to me being on that trip to New Zealand. But the spring sessions are a full 10 classes apiece — so if you have a killer project and you want expert advice to see it through from start to finish, this would be a very good time to sign up!
(Especially since we do not run these knitting classes through the summer months. If you skip it now, you won’t get another chance until the fall…)
These classes are one of the best deals in town: less than five bucks an hour. And believe you me, we make knitting FUN with a capital "F" — no matter what your prior experience with the craft may have been.
The great thing about the group class format is that most knitters who are working on their projects don’t really need one-on-one instruction for 2 hours at a time. You have a question, you get it answered, and then you relax and knit away for a while, sipping your coffee, talking with your fellow knitters — until you come to your next question. And there’s the big plus of getting to meet new knitting friends!
The Monday evening class starts in just a couple of weeks from now, on March 30th! In the past, we have allowed people to sign up on the date of the first class session — but since the rules have changed a bit on the number of knitters we need to have, it’s better for everyone if we know ahead of time whether we will have to cancel the classes. So, please don’t delay in signing up for the spring term!

GROUP KNITTING – ALL LEVELS
In a small group setting, learn to KNIT or bring any project for help. Bring size 8 needles and a smooth medium-weight yarn to first class, or bring your project in progress (pattern, yarn and needles). Small class with individual attention.
